Wear a part of history -- Bruce Lee Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute - Seattle T-shirt

†††† Official Bruce Lee Seattle T-shirt inspired from Bruceís own school in Seattle from 1964-1969.† Bruce Lee trusted his great friend and fellow Kung Fu artist with taking over the Seattle, Washington school.† To this day Taky Kimura and his son Andy Kimura operate and teach at this historical school.

†††† The graphic on the front of shirt is taken from Bruce Lee's original drawings.† The back of the shirts is laid out with the artwork from the original banners that hung in his school on
4700 University Way in Seattle, WA. Additionally, Bruceís own signature is reproduced in great detail from his own handwriting.† With just as much painstaking detail, Taky Kimura's name, in his own handwriting is also printed on the shirt.† Just the handwriting alone are worth collecting.

†††† The kanji on the back is one of the rare symbols of Wing Chun (sometimes called The Wing Chun Poem).† It's meaning is not just about the words, but also the concepts, ideas, and spirit of Wing Chun.† Here are a few ways to translate it, they all give insight into the meaning:

"Yong Chun (Yim Wing-Chun) reaches Mei Hua, her art (chuan fa) is perfection.
Spring (Chun) gives birth to peaches and plums, fragrance of orchid"
"Yong Chun reaches Mei Hua, her art is perfection.
Spring born peaches and plums, the fragrance of Yi Lan."
"Spring Chant sees the Plum flower, her art is perfection.
Spring born peaches and plums, the fragrance of an orchid."
"Sing of the coming plum blossoms, Heavenís wonderful way.
Spring engenders peaches and plums, amazing, fragrant forests."

or, my personal take:
"Yim Wing-Chun sees in the plum blossom the perfection of her art,
Just as spring gives birth to peaches and plums, and fragrant orchids"

† † † As if that was not enough, we painstakingly (trust me, it took a lot of work to clean up from the very few original examples in existence) reproduced Bruce Lee's personal "chop" on the right sleeve, and we figured we might as well reproduce Bruce's own handwriting again and put his penmanship for Seattle on the left sleeve.† All this artwork has never been seen is such great detail, much less screen printed on a shirt.†† This is a t-shirt for Bruce Lee fans and collectors.

†††† Designed by David Tadman, original artifacts provided by Taky Kimura and his son Andy Kimura, and authorized by the Bruce Lee Estate.
