Latin Machete 18"
I grew up in México using machetes of all kinds for killing chickens for dinner, camping trips, survival outdoors. From years of use, and many blisters, I have learned a lot of things about machetes and how to use them. I also learned that you have to watch out for the ones where the metal is too thin, making them wobbly and causing them to bounce of the branches and into your leg or foot. Or, the blade is too long, making the trajectory unpredictable. Sad thing is, most machetes from most companies give you a dangerous combination of both.
However, here we have an excellent combination of steel thickness (2 mm) and blade length (18").
Note: Please, please avoid any kind of blade that is only 2 mm thick and longer than 18". If you go longer than 18" make sure you increase the blade thickness, otherwise you are asking for trouble.
